“Vista Mesa Assisted Living is a fairly small place with around 60 residents. Mom is one of the few who attends just their day activity programs and participates in what they have to offer for all their residents. There are registered nurses on staff and an activity director who does an excellent job of providing varied activities every day. They do fitness and exercises, games, and senior meetings. They serve lunch and dinner, and there are snacks provided. There are special activities several days a week, and musicians coming in doing sing-alongs with the residents at least two days a week. There is a day room available with lounge chairs and a real quiet area where Mom can lie down and take a nap.” (“Buddah” review on caring.com)

Short-term Stays

Respite Care at Vista Mesa Assisted Living provides family caregivers a short-term break from their dedication of caring for a loved one. The Adult Day Program is a convenient option for families that allows their loved one to continue to live at home, yet receive care when it’s needed. Vista Mesa’s environment is warm and supportive for adult day care and respite clients, and offers the same levels of care and comfort offered to full-time residents. This invaluable service helps caregivers and family members take much-needed time for themselves.

In our experience, respite and daycare clients tend to transition more easily to long-term care placement (if it becomes appropriate), because they are familiar with the routine and staff, in a comfortable and warm living environment.
